Bill Murray, from the Austin Chapter of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation Promise Circle, asked and I happily agreed to volunteer to work with the Children’s Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children’s Hospital, to create an art project. The art project is based on my painted art piece, “That’s What It’s All About”. The kids are painting on plywood panels that are then placed on a frame in front of the nurses station. It’s called That’s What It’s All About: From the Perspective of The Kids of the Children’s Blood & Cancer Center. It’s a project that can be continuous and cycle through different panels over time, giving each kid an opportunity to be a part of a bigger art piece when all of the panels are put together. It’s a reminder of the creativity and vision of the children undergoing treatment at CBCC.
